Track alignment work of Mountain Railway

The Mountain Train has been operating from Mettupalayam to Ooty.Daily plenty of tourists is travelling by this train.UNESCO company has given traditional status to mountain train.

The multi-wheel track was set in order to operate the train on a Mountain path.Since there is a multi-wheel track from Kallar to Ooty, the train powered by Parnas oil between this track and the Diesel engine used to operate the train from Coonoor to Ooty.

Usually, the aligning work of Mountain Track has been held before summer season in every year.The staffs checking and correcting the damaging path on a railway track.The aligning track work between Mettupalayam to Coonoor is carried out actively by the railway staffs.

The sleeper blocks at Level Crossing area in Coonoor was damaged.The staffs have removed the old one and replaced it with a new one.In addition, the staffs also engaged in reformation work of multi-wheel rail track.The aligning works have been carrying out for the forthcoming summer season.
