Fruit show in coonoor 2016

Nilgiri District is one of the most popular tourist places in South India. The summer festival is held annually in order to entertain tourists. This year’s 58th Fruit Show began today in Coonoor Sim’s Park.
Various arrangements have been made to attract the tourist people. The decorated arch and the rangoli made using different kinds of fruits and berries were a visual treat to the tourists.
Two Buffaloes with 7 feet height were formed using grapes to attract the children. The main fruits of the nilgiris districts, such as plum, Peach, Pear, Strawberry, Apple, Perciman, and Grape Fruit etc were also displayed at the fruit show.
The fruits growing in plain areas, such as mango, Banana, Watermelon, Pineapple, Grapes, Pomograneate , Guova , Sapota and papaya and other small fruits such as plum, peach etc., were also displayed.
Multi–colored flowers were used in different forms to attract the tourists in the ooty flower show. But the influx of tourists dropped due to continuous rain.
Since, the climate is good now, the inflow of tourists is increasing day by day.
The fruit field competition will be conducted to the farmers on 24th (Tomorrow) at 3pm. The Trophies will be awarded to the winners of the completion. To encourage the people, the prizes are also distributed to the participants in the competition and the public and private hall makers.
